Yesterday, Samsung completed the rollout of One UI 8.5 for all the confirmed Galaxy smartphones and tablets. With that, the brand seems to have started focusing on developing One UI 9.0 for devices eligible to get it, apart from the Galaxy S26 series.
On Samsung's server for over-the-air OTA) updates, firmware files for Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A57 featuring One UI 9.0 have been spotted for the first time (via Tarun Vats). They carry firmware versions A346BXXUFGZF1 and A576BXXU3BZF3.
One UI 9.0 introduces a more customizable Quick Panel, improves Samsung DeX and Game Booster, adds the Tape feature and extra pen styles in Samsung Notes, enhances location privacy with a real-time access indicator, and delivers a wide range of accessibility upgrades, including Text Spotlight, Select to Speak, improved Mouse Keys, new keyboard shortcuts, and a unified TalkBack experience.
Samsung has already released the beta version of One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy S26 series. Once the brand completes testing the new software on these devices, the company is expected to debut its stable version with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. After that, the tech giant may start offering the update to older devices. However, there's no information about when that may happen.
