Samsung will announce a new Galaxy S flagship series later this month, and the new phones may or may not mark the release of a couple of new chargers. Evidence shows that the company is working on two new charging solutions.
According to a new rumor passed along on X via @rquandt, Samsung is developing a new Charger Duo 50W with two USB-C wired fast charging ports. It carries model number EP-T5020. This Charger Duo will be capable of fast-charging two Galaxy devices simultaneously.
Aside from this new Charger Duo model, the company appears to be refreshing the 45W single-port charger. The existing version carries model number EP-T4510, but there's evidence of a newer EP-T4511 model in the works. It's unclear how it will differ from the EP-T4510.
Samsung will announce the Galaxy S24 series in two weeks
Samsung's new Galaxy S24 lineup will be announced on January 17, the company confirmed. But whether the launch of the Galaxy S24 will coincide with the release of these new chargers is to be determined.
What's certain is that Samsung won't ship the next-gen flagship phones with wall chargers inside the retail boxes. For regulatory and environmental reasons, the company stopped pairing phones with wall chargers in most markets a few years ago.
There's no reason to expect the Galaxy S24 series will be any different than the versions released in recent years. The next-gen flagships will likely ship alongside a data cable, a SIM card tray eject tool, and some light paperwork.
Regardless of when these new chargers will be ready for release, they will be sold separately on the company's website. Pricing details remain unknown as of this writing, but we'll keep you posted as soon as more details emerge.
