Samsung makes TVs not just for consumers but also for prosumers and businesses. These business-oriented displays and TVs used for indoor and outdoor advertising are called digital signage. At this year's InfoComm event, Samsung bagged several awards for its innovative digital signages.
Samsung's digital signages bag 11 awards at InfoComm 2024
At the InfoComm 2024 event, which was held in Las Vegas in the US, Samsung's digital signage lineup received 11 awards from publications. The products that received those awards are Color E-Paper, Display Configurator, Interactive Whiteboard (WAD series), SmartThings Pro, and VXT. All the awards are listed below.

Samsung Color E-Paper
The Color E-Paper is a radical new technology that uses a color e-ink (E Ink Spectra 6) display panel for advertising screens. It has a pixel density of 200ppi and a 30:1 contrast ratio. It can operate at up to 50ºC ambient temperatures. It can be used in hotels, malls, restaurants, and retail stores to display maps, menus, and product listings.
This extremely thin and light display can be placed on a table or hung horizontally or vertically on a wall or ceiling. More importantly, it doesn't consume any (0.00W) power while displaying static content. Power is consumed only when the image on the screen changes. It features 8GB storage, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a system to change display content remotely.
Samsung Display Configurator
Samsung's Display Configurator greatly eases commercial display installation planning and customization. It creates a virtual simulation of the installation and customizations. The Samsung Signage Setup Assistant offers an easier way to arrange displays and the calibration process through a smartphone app.

Samsung Interactive Whiteboard (WAD Series)
The Interactive Whiteboard (WAD Series) from Samsung is made for students and teachers. It uses AI to analyze educational material, on-screen content, and voice transcriptions to generate quizzes. This touchscreen display features Google Classroom and Google Drive integration, access to Android-based educational apps through Google Play, and Google Chrome.
SmartThings Pro
SmartThings Pro is an advanced version of SmartThings that is designed for businesses and enterprises. It can be used to control smart devices, including ACs, appliances, displays, door locks, sensors, and TVs. Its AI Energy Mode can save energy by controlling devices and their modes. Enterprises can integrate their own APIs into this system.
Samsung VXT
VXT is Samsung's cloud-based display management system that can be operated remotely. It can create videos in seconds and bring real-time content services, high-quality audio and video content, art pieces, and menu boards to commercial screens and digital signage.
The South Korean firm showcased its Transparent Micro LED TV at the event. This revolutionary display prototype was first displayed at CES 2024. It can be used to see more content at once and for high-end decorative purposes. You can see it in action in our video below from CES 2024.
Samsung also showcased its The Wall TV, made from modular Micro LED panels, at InfoComm 2024's entrance. The display, spread over 10,000 square feet in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s West Hall, was a highlight of the event.
