Samsung has announced that it has partnered with Korean design firm d'strict to design and display revolutionary art on its SMART LED signage displays. Such displays will be installed at global landmarks worldwide to highlight the unlimited potential of Samsung's industry-leading QLED digital signages.
Samsung Electronics and d'strict will produce groundbreaking media art pieces to attract potential customers for the South Korean tech giant's SMART signages. The companies will install such art at Times Square in New York City and Duomo Cathedral in Milan. Seoul-based design firm d'strict first gained attention after designing a giant 3D wave design, which appeared on Samsung's SMART LED signage, the largest curved screen in South Korea. The design was displayed on the SMTown COEX building in Seoul’s Gangnam district.
Together, Samsung and d'strict will create never-seen-before visual experiences, including immersive content and groundbreaking digital media. The South Korean display firm already showcased the Milan Digital Fashion Week at its huge signage display installed at the Duomo Cathedral in Milan, Italy.
Hyesung Ha, Senior Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said, “This partnership will help bring to life many opportunities for Samsung SMART signage beyond simple information delivery and will help businesses consider the possibilities of using these displays as a media art platform. This partnership is aligned with our broader user experience ‘Screens Everywhere’ vision and will showcase enhanced content on the latest display technology.”
