Samsung's partnership with Fortnite developer Epic Games continues this year, and Fortnite mobile players are in for a treat once again. The two companies are launching a new tournament called Galaxy Cup, with participants having an opportunity to earn a unique Galaxy Scout outfit/skin as well as a Galaxy wrap.

Unlike the original Galaxy skin, the iKONIK skin, and the Fortnite Glow skin, all of which were originally obtainable exclusively by Galaxy smartphone owners, the new Galaxy Scout skin will be obtainable by Fortnite players who own any Android-powered smartphone. However, as the name implies, Galaxy Cup is a tournament, and the Galaxy Scout skin will be reserved for the top-performing players in each region, as follows:

  • Europe: Top 10,000 players
  • NA-East: Top 7,500 players
  • NA-West: Top 2,500 players
  • Latin America: Top 2,500 players
  • Asia: Top 1,250 players
  • Middle East: Top 1,250 players
  • Oceania: Top 1,250 players

The good news for players who might not make the cut is that the Galaxy wrap will be obtainable by anyone as long as they participate in five games during the competition. Registrations for Galaxy Cup will open today and the competition will run from July 25 to July 26. Fortnite players who want to participate are required to have their Epic accounts secured by Two-Factor Authentication, as specified by the official rules.

As for Fortnite players who might not be able to participate in Galaxy Cup, they will eventually be able to purchase the Galaxy Scout skin and Galaxy wrap from Epic's in-game store, but no exact date was specified.
