Despite the conditions in Ukraine, Samsung Electronics has figured out a way (via TheKoreaTimes) to continue to provide customer service in the country. The company said that it will operate customer service remotely for Samsung customers in Ukraine who want to fix their Samsung mobile phones, tablets, PCs, and smartwatches.
Samsung's offline customer service centers will continue to function in areas across Ukraine where business activities haven't been disrupted or have since been resumed.
Moreover, Samsung will continue to offer offline customer service support via its service centers in areas where business activities are available. In locations where service centers can't be operated, the company is providing a free pickup service for users who can utilize it to send their devices in for repair. For remote customer service, the Korean giant is working in tandem with Ukrainian logistics company Nova Poshta.
Samsung has already dropped the letter “Z” from its foldable devices
Notably, Samsung entered Ukraine back in 1996, with its home appliances and mobile gadgets there. Now the company doesn't want to leave its customers stranded in adverse situations and is committed to providing customer service wherever it is possible.
To avoid any confusion, Samsung has removed the letter “Z” from its foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in some European countries. This includes Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, because the letter Z is being used as a symbol by the Russian army.
Samsung has also supported relief efforts in Ukraine by donating $6 million to the Ukrainian Red Cross Society in March 2022.
