Samsung had released a completely new camera app last month for professional-grade imaging on its high-end smartphones. The Expert RAW camera app, which is currently compatible with the Galaxy S21 series, has now been updated to fix a few bugs and to improve UI design.
The South Korean firm announced via the Samsung Members forum that the latest version (1.0.00.16) of the Expert RAW camera app brings several bug fixes and performance improvements. The app now features an improved UI design for opening images in the Adobe Lightroom app. It also offers improved image quality during low-light conditions.
The new version of the Expert RAW camera app also fixes blur issues towards the end of DNG files. It also fixes the problem of the app not opening on some Galaxy S21 series smartphones. The company is working on fixing some other bugs, including the ones related to bad pixels in images captured using telephoto cameras and images breaking during manual exposure.
The forum moderator also said that Samsung is working on optimizing the app's performance and bringing it to more smartphones. It is clear that the app needs a lot of frames to work with, and only high-end phones would work well with the app. It is likely that the app will be limited to recently-launched Galaxy Note, Galaxy S, and Galaxy Z series devices.
