Samsung launched the Galaxy A15 5G (SM-A156E) in December 2023. Now, the company has started rolling out the first software update for the device, which brings the February 2024 security patch as well as performance improvements.
The latest firmware comes with Build Number A156EDXU1AXB8. Apart from the February 2024 security patch, which fixes a total of 72 security issues, the changelog says that with the update, the “Device behavior has been improved.” The update size is 252.98MB, and going by user reports on social media, Samsung is currently rolling out the update in India. The company should make the update available in other regions soon.
If your Galaxy A15 5G hasn’t notified you about the update, you can check for it manually by going to Settings » Software update and clicking on the Download and install button. The update isn’t available on our firmware database yet but that should happen soon. As we had reported at the time of launch, Samsung will offer one security update to the device every quarter. So, expect the next security update to arrive before May 2024.
