A lot has been leaked about the Galaxy A23 5G smartphone. Right from its design to its price, almost everything has been out there in the open. Of course, those were mere leaks, and nothing was official. After some busy rounds of leaks, Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy A23 5G, in a rather unceremonious way.
The Galaxy A23 is already available in the market, but Samsung has launched its 5G version. Since it is a budget Galaxy A series phone, Samsung took the simple route of officially listing the Galaxy A23 5G on its website. Surprisingly, the official listing does confirm the design leaks were true, but we still do not know the phone's price.
Galaxy A23 5G specifications
Right now, there is no clarity on which regions the phone will be launched in. To recall, the Galaxy A23 5G comes with features such as 5G connectivity (obviously) and a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging. On the rear, there is a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 5MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. The phone also features an 8MP selfie camera housed inside the waterdrop notch in the front.
The Galaxy A23 5G will come with the Snapdragon 695 SoC rather than a Dimensity chipset from MediaTek. It also features 4/6/8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of built-in storage options. It will be expandable by up to an additional 1TB via a microSD card. Other notable features include Bluetooth 5.1, Android 12, and One UI 4.1.
Samsung has listed the device in four colors: Black, Blue, Pink Gold, and White. The phone reportedly weighs 197g and measures 165.4 x 76.9 x 8.4mm. The official pricing hasn't been announced, but in Europe, the Galaxy A23 5G is rumored to launch with a price tag of around €300.
