One UI 6.1 update with new features rolling out to the Galaxy A23

Samsung has released the One UI 6.1 update for one of its affordable Galaxy A series smartphones. The Galaxy A23 is joining the ranks of many other Galaxy devices that have received the One UI 6.1 update.

Like some other Galaxy phones that got the update recently, One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy A23 has made its debut in Korea. At the time of writing, the update is only out for the LTE variant. Since a different chipset powers the Galaxy A23 and Galaxy A23 5G, there's no telling how long Samsung will take to bring One UI 6.1 to the latter.

The Galaxy A23 One UI 6.1 update can be identified by the build number A235NKSU5EXE3. It comes bundled with the May 2024 security patch and downloading it will cost you 2GB of data, so a Wi-Fi connection or a mobile data plan with sufficient bandwidth is recommended.

To grab the update, open your Galaxy A23's Settings app, navigate to the Software update menu, and select Download and install. You can also download One UI 6.1 firmware for the Galaxy A23 and other Galaxy smartphones from the SamMobile archives.

While you wait for the update to download/install on your phone (or wait for it to come to your country if you aren't in Korea), check out the video above for details on some of the features and changes that come with One UI 6.1.
