After unveiling the Galaxy A34 5G alongside the Galaxy A54 5G two weeks ago, Samsung has launched the smartphone in its home country. The Galaxy A34 5G is now available for purchase in South Korea. Samsung has launched only the 128GB version of the Galaxy A34 5G in South Korea, and there is no clear indication if the 256GB version will be available later.
Apart from Samsung.com and Samsung Digital Plaza, the phone would also be available through all cellular network carriers: LG Uplus, KT, and SKT.

Priced at KRW 499,400 (around $385), the smartphone is available in four colors: Awesome Graphite, Awesome Lime, Awesome Silver, and Awesome Violet. Galaxy A34 5G buyers in Korea will get a two-month subscription to YouTube Premium and a two-month subscription to the Welaaa audiobooks service.

The Galaxy A34 5G sports a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,000 nits brightness. It has stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint reader, and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a microSD card slot. The phone runs Android 13-based One UI 5.1 out of the box and is eligible to get four major Android OS updates.
On the front, the phone has a 13MP selfie camera. On the rear, the Galaxy A34 5G sports a 48MP OIS primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP macro camera. The phone supports GPS, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and supports up to 25W fast charging. Interestingly, the phone supports MST for Samsung Pay (now called Samsung Wallet).
