The Galaxy A52s, the most powerful model in the Galaxy A52 lineup, is getting the One UI 6.1 update. The update was already released for the Galaxy A52 5G and the standard Galaxy A52 a few days back.
The Galaxy A52s One UI 6.1 update can be identified by the build number A528NKSU4GXE1. Korea appears to be the first and only country where the update is rolling out, but we can count on Samsung bringing to other markets in short order.
Once the update goes live in your country, you will be able to download it from the phone's Settings » Software update menu. The download size can be anywhere between 2-2.5GB, so we recommend using a broadband Wi-Fi connection.
One UI 6.1 update: What's new?
One UI 6.1 is packed with considerably more changes and improvements than previous .1 updates, even without the Galaxy AI features that you get on Samsung's flagship phones.
It brings improved image clipping in the Gallery app, playback speed adjustment for more types of videos, frames and effects for wallpapers (not the same as generative wallpapers), more lock screen widgets, customizable alarm alerts, passkey support in Samsung Internet, and easier file sharing between Samsung phones and Android phones from other brands.
There are also new battery protection options, smoother animations, easier search in the Gallery app, a new accessibility feature that highlights objects detected in photos and images, a more informative weather widget, and improved menstrual cycle tracking in Samsung Health.
You can watch the video above for a quick rundown on what makes One UI 6.1 exciting or check out the changelog for mid-range Galaxy devices if you want the full details.
