You can now buy Samsung’s first Snapdragon X Elite-powered laptop

Last month, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Book 4 Edge, its first-ever laptop with Qualcomm's revolutionary Snapdragon X Elite processor. The laptop is now available in most important global markets, including the USA.

Galaxy Book 4 Edge is available for purchase globally

The Galaxy Book 4 Edge is now available for purchase in the US for a starting price of $1,349.99. It is priced at £1,399 in the UK, while its pricing in Europe is around €1,699. This pricing is for the 14-inch Galaxy Book 4 Edge with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. You can buy it from Samsung's website

In the US, Samsung is offering a 50-inch Crystal UHD 4K TV worth $379.99 for free if you buy the Galaxy Book 4 Edge today. In some European countries, Samsung is offering a €150 discount if the Galaxy Book 4 Edge is purchased by June 24.

In South Korea, the 14-inch Galaxy Book 4 Edge is priced at KRW 2.15 million ($1,557). The 512GB and 1TB versions of the 16-inch Galaxy Book 4 Edge Pro are priced at KRW 2.35 million ($1,702) and KRW 2.65 million ($1,920), respectively.

Galaxy Book 4 Edge specifications

The Galaxy Book 4 Edge has a 14-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x touchscreen with QHD+ resolution (2,880 x 1,800 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+. Its 16-inch version is called the Galaxy Book 4 Edge Pro, and it comes with the same resolution, refresh rate, brightness, and HDR standard.

The Galaxy Book 4 Edge has the 3.4GHz version of the Snapdragon X Elite processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB storage, a tenkeyless keyboard, one HDMI 2.1 port, two USB 4.0 Type-C (Thunderbolt 3) ports, and a 3.5mm headphone port. It is powered by a 55.9Wh battery, which can last up to 18 hours on a single charge.

The Galaxy Book 4 Edge uses the 3.8GHz Snapdragon X Elite chip, 16GB RAM, 1TB storage, a full-sized keyboard, one HDMI 2.1 port, two USB 4.0 Type-C (Thunderbolt 3) ports, one USB 3.2 Type-A port, a MicroSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone port. It is powered by a 61.8Wh battery, and Samsung claims it can last up to 21 hours on a single charge.

Both Galaxy Book 4 Edge laptops run Windows 11 and have backlit keyboards, a large Windows Precision trackpad, a Full HD webcam, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 7, and AKG quad-speakers with two tweeters and two woofers.

Thanks to the Snapdragon X Elite's powerful NPU with 45 TOPS performance, the Galaxy Book 4 Edge can offer several AI features even without internet connectivity. Such features include Live Captions (real-time language transcription and translation in 40+ languages) during video calls and Generative AI-powered images via Cocreator (in Paint and Photos apps).

On top of this, you can use the Phone Link app to connect to your Galaxy smartphone or tablet for easy file transfers. You can also use your Galaxy Book 4 Edge's keyboard and mouse/trackpad with your phone. You can also check notifications and wirelessly streaming your phone's screen on your laptop. It can also be used for calling, messaging, and music playback.

With the Buds Auto Switch feature, your Galaxy Buds switch automatically between your phone and your Galaxy Book 4 Edge. You can also use your Galaxy phone as your Galaxy Book 4 Edge's webcam. You can share files between your Galaxy phone/tablet and your Galaxy Book 4 Edge using the Quick Share app.
