Samsung's new open-ear Galaxy Buds On earbuds went on sale in Korea yesterday, with no other news of a global launch. Today, Samsung offered more details, but it's not all good news.
The Galaxy Buds On will make it to the United States before the end of the year. Unfortunately, the Galaxy Buds On won't hit the shelves in Europe in time for the holidays.
Samsung says the Galaxy Buds On will reach Europe in early 2027. It didn't narrow the launch any further. For all we know, the Buds On could debut in Europe alongside the Galaxy S27 series.
As for pricing, Samsung once again hasn't revealed much for Europe. In the USA, the Galaxy Buds On will be available from early November for $229.
The Galaxy Buds On earbuds have a new clip-on design that works the same for both ears. The earbuds have an ambidextrous design, so you don't have to worry about L/R sound channels. The Galaxy Buds On are smart enough to auto-detect your ears and adjust sound channels accordingly.
Samsung's new earbuds also feature a TwinBoost Speaker, Audio Leakage Reduction technology, and Intelligent Clear Call.
The buds are powered by the Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform, and most importantly, they offer more battery life than the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro on a single charge:
On the other hand, the Galaxy Buds On don't have as high an IP rating for water resistance as the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. The new models are IP54-rated instead of IP57, matching the regular Galaxy Buds 4.
We will talk about the Galaxy Buds On in greater technical detail soon. For now, Europeans will have to wait until next year, and those wanting to buy new earbuds this holiday season will have to choose the Galaxy Buds 4/4 Pro or something else entirely.
