Back in March, Samsung launched the Galaxy F15 5G in India. Now, the company has launched the Airtel Edition of that smartphone in the country.
So, what’s the difference between the two models? Well, the Galaxy F15 5G Airtel Edition is INR 750 cheaper than the regular model. Plus, Airtel is offering 50GB of data for free with the phone. However, since Airtel is offering you INR 750 off on the device and 50GB of free data, it will lock the device to the Airtel network for 18 months.
More specifically, you will have to use the Galaxy F15 5G Airtel Edition with an Airtel SIM card in one of the two SIM card slots of the smartphone for 18 months. If you try to use the smartphone without an Airtel SIM card, it will not work. There is an option to unlock the smartphone (to be able to use the device with other network carriers).
As you might expect, you will have to pay an additional charge to unlock the Galaxy F15 5G Airtel Edition. If you want to unlock the smartphone within 12 months from the date of purchase, you will have to pay INR 1,000 and if you want to unlock the phone after 12 months and before 18 months of purchase, you will have to pay INR 500.
