Samsung has started rolling out a new security update to the Galaxy F62, which brings last month's security patch. The smartphone was launched only in India, so it is the only country where the new update is rolling out.
The new software update for the Galaxy F62 comes with firmware version E625FDDU2AVA3. It includes the January 2022 security patch, which fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. Since many other phones are getting the February 2022 security update, Galaxy F62 users could be disappointed that they have to make do with last month's security patch.
If you are a Galaxy F62 user, you might have already received a notification of the new update. If you haven't received it yet, you can check for the latest update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy F62 in India in February 2021 with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 onboard. The device will likely get the Android 12-based One UI 4 update within the next few months. It will get one more major Android OS update sometime next year.
