Samsung announced the Galaxy M04, a new low-end phone in the Galaxy M series, in India last week, and as promised, the company has now put it up for sale in the country. Like all M series phones, the Galaxy M04 is exclusive to Amazon as far as online retailers are concerned; it can also be purchased from Samsung's official website and select offline retail outlets.
Galaxy M04 specs include MediaTek Helio P35 chipset
The Galaxy M04 comes with a humble spec sheet that won't win any awards. It features a 6.5-inch LCD display of HD+ resolution and is powered by MediaTek's Helio P35 octa-core processor, which can reach a maximum clock speed of 2.3GHz.
The phone comes with 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage and a microSD slot. Both storage variants feature 4GB of RAM, although Samsung is marketing the phone as having up to 8GB of RAM because of its virtual RAM feature. The phone also has dual SIM slots and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For taking pictures, the M04 is equipped with a 13+2MP dual camera setup at the back and a 5MP front-facing camera. The phone has a 5,000 mAh battery under the hood, and on the software front, it comes with Android 12 and One UI 4.1 Core and is eligible for two major OS upgrades.
Galaxy M04 price starts Rs 9,499 (~$115)
The Galaxy M04 comes in two colors: dark blue and light green. The 4GB+64GB variant can be purchased for Rs 9,499 (~$115) and the 4GB+128GB variant costs Rs 10,499 (~$125). Samsung is offering an upfront Rs 1,000 discount for those who purchase the phone using an SBI credit or debit card.
