Samsung is on a roll: Multiple Galaxy smartphones that were slated to get the Android 10 and One UI 2.0 update in April are already receiving it this month. The company released Android 10 for Galaxy A50 earlier today in South Korea and India, and the update is now rolling out to the Galaxy M30s as well. The update is available in India and comes with software version M307FXXU2BTC6.
Like all other Galaxy M series phones, including the new Galaxy M31 that comes with Android 10 out of the box, the Galaxy M30s gets One UI Core 2.0. That's a stripped down version that brings the bare essential functionality included in Android 10 and One UI 2.0, like an improved Dark mode, Google's navigation gestures, improved Digital Wellbeing with a new Focus mode and parental controls, updated camera app, and a slew of user interface improvements. The March security patch is included as well, though that was already released separately for the device earlier this month.
The Android 10 update for the Galaxy M30s is 1.4GB in size and can be downloaded over the air from the phone's Settings » Software update menu. As usual, you can also perform the update by downloading the latest firmware from our firmware archive and installing it on your phone using a Windows computer. The update is only available in India at this time but it should make its way to other markets in the coming weeks.
