After releasing the June 2021 security update to the Galaxy M31 earlier today, Samsung has started rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy M30s. The mid-range smartphone had received its previous software update four months ago, and it included the Android 11 operating system with One UI 3.
Samsung has started rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy M30s in India. The latest update for the smartphone bears firmware version M307FXXU4CUF1 and includes the June 2021 security patch. As per the company's documentation, the June 2021 security patch consists of 47 fixes from Google and 17 fixes from Samsung. The update might also include device stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy M30s user in India, you can wait for the OTA (Over-The-Air) update to arrive on your smartphone or check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. If you are an advanced user with experience in flashing firmware files on Galaxy smartphones, you can download the latest firmware from our firmware database and flash it manually.
The latest software update for the Galaxy M30s could roll out in other markets worldwide over the next few days. Samsung had launched the Galaxy M30s in October 2019 with Android 9 Pie onboard. The phone received the Android 10-based One UI 2 update in March 2020 and the Android 11-based One UI 3 update in February 2021.
