The Snapdragon-powered Galaxy M55 could make its way to Europe soon, following a launch in markets like Brazil and India over the last few weeks.
Samsung Portugal and Samsung Poland have put up product pages for the device, and in some European markets, support pages have gone live on the company's website, as discovered by our friends at GalaxyClub. The phone has also been listed by at least one third-party retailer, suggesting that an official launch in the region is imminnent.
The Galaxy M55 isn't as exciting as the Galaxy A55, but it does have some notable features and is a phone of many firsts. It's the first Galaxy phone with a 50MP front camera, the first Galaxy phone powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, and the first mid-range Galaxy phone to support 45W charging.

It is also the first M series phone that comes with 12GB of RAM on the top-tier variant, stereo speakers, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, compared to the Galaxy M54, the M55 comes with a few downgrades: it has a 50MP primary rear camera instead of a 108MP camera and its battery capacity is 5,000 mAh, 1000 mAh less than the Galaxy M54's.
Some specs have carried over unchanged, like the 6.7-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display, 8MP ultra-wide camera, and 2MP macro camera. On the software front, you get Android 14 with One UI 6.1 out of the box, but without any Galaxy AI features. Like the M54, the M55 is eligible for four major Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
It remains to be seen when Samsung will make the M55 available for purchase in Europe and how much it will cost. Retailers have listed prices north of €400, but those prices may be placeholders as the phone can be purchased for an equivalent of €300 in India.
We'll let you know once we learn more about Samsung's plans for the Galaxy M55 in Europe. You can also look forward to our review of the device sometime later this week.
