The Galaxy Ring is Samsung's first smart ring, so it wasn't surprising when the company didn't launch the product worldwide on day one. Samsung gradually expanded the ring's availability to more countries around the world after the initial launch, and soon, it will add more than a dozen new markets to the list.

Starting in February, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Ring in 15 additional markets, bringing the total to 53 markets. The full list of countries getting the wearable next month includes Cyprus, Czech, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Taiwan, Vietnam and Zambia.

That's not all. Samsung is officially introducing two larger Galaxy Ring sizes of 14 and 15 in Titanium Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Gold. With these sizes added to the mix, the Galaxy Ring will soon be available in sizes ranging from 5 to 15. However, Samsung notes that the availability of sizes may vary by market.

Samsung has also announced some new features coming to the Samsung Health app. The Sleep environment report feature will advise users on how to optimize their surroundings for more optimal sleep by assessing factors like temperature, humidity, air quality, and light intensity in the room. This

There's also Sleep time guidance, which will suggest “optimal bedtime tailored to unique sleep patterns, habits and conditions” and provide recommendations on suitable sleep times and routines. Sleep time guidance will go live sometime in the second half of 2025; Sleep environment report will be released in the first half of the year.

Samsung Health new sleep tracking features

A third new feature that is going live immediately is the Mindfulness tracker. It essentially lets you track your stress levels and mood in a single location and will offer suggestions for breathing exercises and meditations. All of the new functionality is designed with sleep tracking in mind, as that's one of the main use cases for a smart ring.

For a first-generation product, the Galaxy Ring is a fantastic wearable, especially for those who want to track their sleep without wearing a smartwatch to bed. You can read our full review here.
