Indian retailer Flipkart has started teasing the Galaxy S10 Lite, just a day after the phone was officially announced. Samsung hasn't provided availability details for individual markets so it's unclear when the Galaxy S10 Lite will hit retail stores in India, but the country may be among the first to get the device since it's already being teased by a third-party retailer.
It remains to be seen how much the Galaxy S10 Lite will cost in India and whether Flipkart will have exclusive rights to sell the phone online other than Samsung's official store. The European pricing for the S10 Lite is set at 649 euros, which translates to around Rs 52,000, and a price tag higher than Rs 45,000 would make the device a tough sell in the country considering the competition from the latest OnePlus phones in that segment.
Of course, only time will tell how Samsung will price the Galaxy S10 Lite in India – local manufacturing should allow the company some leeway in reducing the asking price compared to other markets. Samsung is also expected to bring the Galaxy Note 10 Lite to India alongside the S10 Lite, but at this time, there's no official word on whether the two handsets will be launched in the country together.
Thanks for the tip, Ahammed!
