The June 2022 security patch appears to be causing issues for Galaxy S21 customers using Verizon's network in the United States. The Galaxy S21 customers experiencing voice call quality issues on Verizon's network seem to have something in common. Namely, they all run the June 2022 security patch that carries firmware version G991USQU5CVF1.
Everyone's waiting for the next security patch to fix the issues
A few have suggested that the issue concerns the user's SIM card, but most customers say that the issue persists. In most cases, people have decided to just wait for the July 2022 security patch to land on the Verizon Galaxy S21, hoping that the voice call quality issues will get fixed with the next release.
The July 2022 security patch is rolling out for the international Galaxy S21 as well as the unlocked variant for the United States. Carrier models haven't received the July 2022 update yet, but network operators should pick it up soon.
