Samsung hinted toward the imminent release of the One UI 5.0 Beta update by opening its official forum last week. Now, rumors are circulating that the company has already released the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 Beta update for the Galaxy S22 series. Is it true?
A screenshot of the alleged One UI 5.0 Beta update program for the Galaxy S22 series has been published on the internet, leading many to believe that Samsung has released the new software in South Korea. However, the original post is nowhere to be found on the Samsung Members official forum. Some users claimed that the company released the update to very few people who are very active in the forums, but that doesn't seem to be true.
Someone seems to have posted an edited/fake screenshot on Naver (notice the spelling mistake in Ultra in the screenshot below?), and that image was then posted on Samsung's official forum. The company hasn't actually released the One UI 5.0 Beta update yet, even in South Korea. However, the update could be released soon in South Korea, China, India, the UK, and the US.
A few days ago, an internal One UI 5.0 build was leaked, and the UI design was revealed. Samsung seems to have tweaked notifications slightly with bigger app icons, redesigned app permission pop-ups, a dedicated UWB toggle, a slightly redesigned Device Care section, OCR in the Gallery and Samsung Keyboard apps, Samsung Notes sharing, smoother animations, and new multitasking gestures.
