Samsung’s conducting a Galaxy S23 photo contest in South Korea!

The Galaxy S23 series is excellent when it comes to camera performance. And to further shine a spotlight on camera capabilities of its latest flagship phones, Samsung has announced a Galaxy S23 Photo Contest in South Korea. The Galaxy S23 Photo Contest will continue for three weeks starting April 7, with each week having a different theme and subject.

To participate in the contest, interested users will have to submit photos and videos fitting the theme for that given week. They will have to meet some prerequisites to take part in the contest. Notably, users need to be a Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, or Galaxy S23 Ultra owner residing in South Korea. Below, you can find the schedule and theme details for each week for the Galaxy S23 Photo Contest.

  • Week 1
    • Theme: ‘Night Portrait, Animal Photography' with sharpness even in the dark
    • Schedule: April 7, 2023 (Friday) to April 13, 2023 (Thursday)
  • Week 2
    • Theme: ‘Night Sky Photography' that captures the emotions that could only be captured by the eye
    • Schedule: April 14, 2023 (Friday) to April 20, 2023 (Thursday)
  • Week 3
    • Theme: ‘High Quality Photos' that doesn't miss any details
    • Schedule: April 21, 2023 (Friday) to April 27, 2023 (Thursday)

Galaxy S23 Photo Contest winners will be announced on May 18

Participants can use both the regular camera app and Samsung's Expert RAW app for capturing photos and videos. Participation will be terminated if posts are edited with apps such as Lightroom. Participants will need to upload their images and videos by making a new post on the Samsung Community forum, either through the web browser or through the Samsung Members app on their phone. Each post should have a foreword, as mentioned below, before the community post title.

  • Week 1 [S23 Night Portrait]
  • Week 2 [S23 Night Sky]
  • Week 3 [S23 High Resolution]

Samsung will announce the winners of this photo contest on May 18. The first prize winner will get a Shinsegae gift certificate worth KRW 50,000 (around $38). The second prize winner will get a Shinsegae gift certificate worth KRW 30,000 (around $23), while the winner of the third position will receive a Starbucks Iced Americano Tall 1 Cup mobile coupon.
