TL;DR

  • Galaxy S26 FE is expected to launch with One UI 9.0 based on Android 17, matching Samsung’s latest foldables.
  • A leaked video suggests it will support My FanCam, a Galaxy AI feature that creates new clips from existing videos by following a chosen subject.
  • Samsung may also bring My FanCam to other Galaxy S26 models and possibly older flagships with the One UI 9 update.

The Galaxy S26 FE will launch running One UI 9.0 (Android 17) out of the box like the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8, and it will reportedly have one of the new Galaxy AI features Samsung introduced with its latest foldables.

According to a video spotted on TikTok by Tarun Vats, the Galxay S26 FE will support the My FanCam feature that lets you create new clips from existing video recordings that follow a chosen subject or person.

My FanCam works similarly to the Auto framing feature in Samsung's Camera app. The difference is that Auto framing follows subjects while you're recording a video, while My FanCam does it afterward using an existing recording.

It's not surprising that the Galaxy S26 FE will support My FanCam. Galaxy S FE phones have generally received the same Galaxy AI features as Samsung's main Galaxy S flagships and its Galaxy Z foldables.

Samsung will also likely bring My FanCam to the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, and possibly older flagship devices, with the One UI 9 update. The feature isn't available in the One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy S26 series at the moment, however.
