Galaxy S26 Ultra
As you've probably heard, the memory market recently forced Samsung to increase prices across the Galaxy S26 flagship trio. This may be a bad sign for fans who are waiting for 2027 and plan to upgrade to the upcoming Galaxy S27.
Samsung usually introduces necessary price changes at launch. In other words, most market watchers expect the Galaxy S27 to be pricier because of the troubled memory market. However, nobody expected Samsung to increase Galaxy S26 prices 8 months after release.
It's unclear whether the Galaxy S27 will borrow the S26 series' adjusted prices or if the Galaxy S27 will cost even more than the S26 does right now. Either way, it may lead to a higher adoption rate for the Galaxy S26 this year.
We may have witnessed this phenomenon before. This past summer, the Galaxy S26 series saw a sudden sales increase. Some of those extra sales are easily justifiable because the Galaxy S26 series is as desirable as it is.
However, some customers may have bought the Galaxy S26 in excess this summer out of fear of severe price increases for the upcoming Galaxy S27 series.
If you care about savings, now might be a good time to look at a brand-new Galaxy S26. Even with the recent price increases, you might be able to find a Galaxy S26, Plus, or Ultra discounted at your local Samsung online store.
