Samsung recently launched its first clip-on wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds On, and the company is reportedly working on two more audio products. One is a pair of ear-hook style Galaxy Buds, and the other is a set of over-ear headphones. Now, the name of those upcoming over-ear headphones may have leaked.

Tipster @evowizz claims that Samsung's first over-ear wireless headphones in a decade will be called the Galaxy Studio. This is the same source who accurately leaked the name of the Galaxy Buds On, so the claim seems believable.

Since Samsung's upcoming headphones are expected to be a premium offering that could go head-to-head with Apple's AirPods Max 2, the Galaxy Studio name sounds apt.

Galaxy Studio headphones could launch in early 2027

Based on when these headphones first appeared, they could launch alongside the Galaxy S27 series in early 2027.

While the Galaxy Studio's features and specifications haven't been revealed yet, we expect the headphones to support Bluetooth 6.1 along with the AAC, SBC, and SSC UHQ audio codecs. They could also include Bluetooth LE Audio (with the LC3 codec), Auracast, Adaptive EQ, and Super Wideband technology for better voice call quality.

The headphones will likely offer Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC), multiple microphones, Buds Auto Switch, Samsung Find integration, and support for AI assistants like Bixby and Google Gemini. It would also make sense for them to include a USB Type-C port for charging.
