Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy XCover 7 smartphone in India. The ultra-rugged smartphone was announced globally last month, and it is now available in India in two versions: Enterprise Edition and Standard Edition. It can only be purchased by enterprises and institutions, which means general consumers won't be able to buy the phone.

This is Samsung's first Android smartphone in India that is made for enterprise use.

Galaxy XCover 7 pricing in India for Enterprise and Standard models

The Galaxy XCover 7 is priced at INR 27,208 for the Standard Edition and INR 27,530 for the Enterprise Edition. The Standard Edition comes with a 1-year warranty, while the Enterprise Edition comes with a 2-year warranty. The devices can be purchased through Samsung's EPP portal, which is meant for corporates or enterprises. The Galaxy XCover 7 can also be bought in bulk in India through this link. Samsung is also offering a 12-month Knox Suite subscription with the Galaxy XCover7 Enterprise Edition, which means companies can secure, deploy, and manage the phone for their employees.

Galaxy XCover 7 features and specifications

The Galaxy XCover 7 is a rugged phone, and it features an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It is able to withstand drops from a height of up to 1.5 meters, which means it won't get damaged easily in case of drops or extreme weather conditions. It has a design that is compliant with the MIL-STD-810H standard.

It has a 6.6-inch LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. The phone also has increased touch sensitivity so that it can be operated using gloves in harsh conditions. It has a 4,050mAh battery with 15W fast wired charging, and more importantly, the battery can be easily removed thanks to its removable back cover. The device also supports charging cradles with pogo pins. The phone also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a dedicated action button. This key can be programmed to open any application.

The Galaxy XCover 7 has a 5MP front-facing camera and a 50MP rear-facing camera, and both cameras can record 1080p videos. The phone is equipped with a Dimensity 6100+ processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot (up to 1TB). It runs Android 14 (One UI 6.0) and will get major Android OS updates for at least three years. Other features include GPS, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
