As you may have read by now, Samsung made a cryptic tweet earlier today hinting at the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 at Unpacked. The tweet contained a few images, one of which will be the topic of conversation. The image in question featured a bunch of color swatches with no explanation attached, and we're wondering if Samsung just gave fans a full preview of all the Galaxy Z Flip 4 Bespoke Edition color options.
For a bit of context, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 was the first Samsung phone to get the Bespoke treatment, meaning that customers could choose a frame color and a matching or a different color for each of the two back panels. The result was a colorful device called the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition, which flaunted no fewer than 49 color combinations.
Back to the present time, Samsung is now preparing the Galaxy Z Flip 4 for an official unveiling, seemingly on August 10. And we're hearing that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 Bespoke Edition should get additional color options. How many? We don't know precisely, but Samsung may have just spilled the beans through the image it shared on Twitter.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 Bespoke Edition might offer up to 1024 color combinations
The image Samsung shared on Twitter features 30 color swatches. Assuming they represent all the color options for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 Bespoke Edition's back panels, we're looking at 900 color combinations. And if we add two additional color options for the frame, that number goes up to a whopping 1024 combinations.
That's a huge leap from 49 color combinations, but Samsung might be able to pull it off after testing the waters with the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition last year. Either way, it's reasonable to expect the 1024 Bespoke color combinations to have a limited reach and be available in select markets.
Samsung has also expanded upon its Bespoke platform for refrigerators and now allows customers to print any custom images on the doors. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 Bespoke Edition probably won't go to that extent, but should at least offer additional color options this year. Could there be 900 or 1024 of them? Time will tell, and we should find out soon.
