Samsung has announced the launch of its new eco-friendly accessory lineup, ‘Samsung Eco-Friends'. These Samsung Eco-Friends eco-friendly accessories will be sold in more than 40 countries around the world and will be officially sold in South Korea on August 17, 2023. The Samsung Eco-Friends accessories contain Galaxy smartphone cases and Galaxy Watch straps.
These were first introduced last year, and they are made up of recycled plastics, containing more than 40% PCM (Post Consumer Material) and vegan leather. Moreover, Samsung Electronics' Future Generation Lab, where employees in their 20s from across the globe work, is planning to reflect the values and tendencies of the younger generation through the Samsung Mobile Accessories Partnership Program (SMAPP).
Customers can purchase a Flipsuit card to apply a theme matching the accessory on their smartphones
This move will help the partners extend their sales channels and also contribute to cooperation. Samsung has teamed up with Slash B Slash, a mobile accessory company, to obtain works of popular artists, including Toilet Paper, Keith Haring, and Smiley, along with eight intellectual property rights related to K-Pop, BTS Dynamite, and Stray Kids. The artworks of these popular stars will be applied to 55 kinds of accessories and sold in Korea.
Interested buyers can purchase Samsung Eco-Friends accessories from the company's flagship stores, Samsung Gangnam and Slash B'Slash Online Mall (slbs.shop). You can select from eco-friendly accessories to match products such as the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, the Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and the portable The Freestyle projector.
As per the official newsroom post, users can also apply a matching theme to their accessories on their Galaxy Z Flip 5 by scanning a QR code. Customers who purchased the Flipsuit case based on NFC can purchase an Eco Friends Flipsuit card to decorate the case and apply the screen theme.
