Samsung to open pre-orders for Galaxy Z Flip 5, Z Fold 5 in Korea tomorrow

After unveiling the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 during the Galaxy Unpacked last week, Samsung has announced it will start accepting pre-orders for its newest foldable phones in South Korea tomorrow. The company said that customers in South Korea can pre-order the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 from August 1 to August 7. The pre-ordered units will be delivered starting August 8.

General availability of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 starts on August 11 in Korea.

Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 colors in South Korea

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be available in four colors: Cream, Graphite, Lavender, and Mint. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be sold in Cream, Icy Blue, and Phantom Black. The devices will be available for purchase from Samsung.com, Samsung Stores, and all authorized carriers and stores across South Korea. Exclusive colors of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 (Blue, Green, Grey, and Yellow) and Galaxy Z Fold 5 (Blue and Grey) will be available through Samsung.com and Samsung Store Gangnam.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will also be available via Live Commerce from August 1 through 11th Street, CJ OnStyle, Coupang, Gmarket, Naver, Samsung.com, and SSG.com. The 1TB version of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will only be available through Samsung.com and Samsung Store Gangnam.

Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 pre-order benefits and offers in Korea

Those who pre-order the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be eligible to get free storage upgrade. It means if you pay the equivalent of the 256GB version of the phone, you will get upgraded to the 512GB version for free. You will also get the Samsung Care+ premium after-sales plan for free. Pre-orders also come with Flipsuit Case for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Slim S Pen Case for the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Buyers who pre-order the 1TB Galaxy Z Fold 5 will get the Galaxy Watch 6 44mm for free.

Other pre-order benefits include three-month access to premium filters on the Snow camera app. Galaxy Z Fold 5 users get KRW 100,000 worth of benefits in the MMORPG game called Ares: Rise of Guardians. Users also get KRW 100,000 discount coupon that they can use while buying the Galaxy Watch 6 from Samsung's website.

Users also get a 30% discount on accessories such as a 25W fast charger or the SmartThings Station. Buyers also get one free replacement of the screen protector film on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5. Those who pre-order Samsung's latest foldable phones also get 4-month access to YouTube Premium, 3-month access to Willa e-book service, and 6-month access to Microsoft 365.

Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 trade-in deals in Korea

Samsung will also offer a trade-in bonus of KRW 150,000 if users return their used smartphone while pre-ordering the Galaxy Z Flip 5 or the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
