Samsung Gallery app in One UI 7.0
A few weeks ago, Samsung announced that it will end support for Microsoft OneDrive integration with the Gallery app on Galaxy phones and tablets. Now, it has been revealed that the company will bring Google Photos integration to the Gallery app.
Samsung has released an update to the Gallery Cloud Sync app, which is a system app on Galaxy devices running One UI 9.0. And that update (version 1.6.09.31) brings Google Photos integration according to the app's description. However, even after installing the update on our Galaxy S26 Ultra running One UI 9.0 beta, Google Photos integration isn't visible yet.
Since Microsoft OneDrive integration support is ending on 30 September, 2026, we believe Google Photos integration will replace it starting 1 October.
