Playing the Game Launcher mini-game
The objective of the Game Launcher mini-game is to earn eggs, hatch them, and collect creatures. To start the mini-game, open the Game Launcher and tap the egg icon in the upper-right corner.
The first step is earning eggs, which is done by completing objectives similar to achievements. Game Launcher objectives can include installing a game from a specific genre, running a game from a genre a number of times, and so on. It's all about exploring new games or playing the ones installed on your Galaxy device.
Once you complete an objective, tap it to be rewarded an egg. Eggs come in different colors and take one hour or more to hatch.
The next step is to access the “Eggs” list and select an egg to hatch. You won't know what creature is inside the egg until it hatches.
Once you select an egg, you'll see a timer, a progress bar around the egg, and an accelerator. Using the accelerator helps you hatch eggs faster. You can earn accelerator points by simply playing games through the Game Launcher.
Once the progress bar around the egg is full, you're ready to hatch the egg! Tap it to see what creature comes out.
You can view your creature collection by tapping the “Creatures” button. Here, you can tap on each a creature to reveal more details, such as its full name, its number, blood type, when it hatched, and which mission helped it hatch. And, of course, here is also where you can set a creature as your profile picture.
The Game Launcher mini-game is free, it doesn't have any micro-transactions attached to it, and it adds a fun layer of interactivity on top of all of your mobile games, no matter the genre. If you're a fan of so-called collect-a-thon games, you'll probably love having this layer of interactivity and rewards.
