Samsung's Odyssey lineup of gaming monitors is highly regarded by gamers across the globe. The company improved the series with new additions this year that were unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas back in January.

The company has roped in T1, the best League of Legends team, to promote its Odyssey gaming monitors at a special event in China. The country has a huge player base for the game so it's only nature that Samsung would want to entice them with its latest monitors.

T1 LoL features in an Odyssey gaming monitor event for Samsung

T1, a well-known top-tier League of Legends team, took part in the Odyssey gaming monitor experience event in Chengdu, China. Around 150 attendees were present at the event, including local gaming media, influencers, Samsung Odyssey fans, as well as the T1 team. The players also took part in a Q&A session with attendees and even played event matches with Odyssey fans.

The event follows the recent launch of the 2024 Odyssey gaming monitors in China. Samsung launched the Odyssey G50D in 32 and 27-inch sizes in China. The monitor features a 180Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time.

This is part of Samsung's efforts to re-establish itself in the Chinese market, where it has largely faded to the background against relentless competition from local manufacturers in segments like smartphones, consumer electronics, and home appliances.

Samsung has also set up a dedicated innovation team for China that aims to uncover new opportunities for growth in China, through a better product mix as well as enhanced partnerships with local companies. Samsung also recently brought back its Galaxy C series of China-exclusive phones in a bid to revive its fortunes in the lucrative Chinese phone market.
