For many years now, Samsung has been supporting the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games by launching a special edition of its latest flagship smartphone for those events and gifting that device to all the athletes participating in them.
Following the tradition, the company launched the Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris and gifted 17,000 units of the smartphone to everyone who participated in it, which was quite impressive.
Now, Samsung is following the same path for the 2024 Summer Paralympics as well by announcing that it will gift 5,000 units of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition to athletes participating in the Paralympic Games Paris 2024.
In the press release, the company says “As a long-standing supporter of the Paralympic Movement, Samsung will open up the Paralympic experience for athletes with the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition and invite fans to get into the Paralympic spirit at pop-up experience sites across the city.” It further states, “To enhance the athlete experience, Samsung is providing nearly 5,000 Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition smartphones to Paralympians competing in the Games.”

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition has a different design compared to the standard version. Apart from that, the special edition phone comes “pre-loaded with a full suite of exclusive services and useful apps, including an eSIM of 100GB 5G data, an unlimited complimentary public transport access card, and several official Olympic apps, designed to help the athletes open up new experiences and connect with new people while they are in Paris.”
