A few days ago, Samsung announced its new home appliances lineup for 2025. Today, the company showcased those home appliances at the CES 2025 expo that is being held in Las Vegas, USA. Most mid-range and high-end models in the new lineup use AI for added convenience.

Under the ‘AI for All' theme, Samsung has unveiled its new dryers, microwaves, refrigerators, robotic vacuum cleaners, and washers.

Bespoke AI Refrigerators, Bespoke AI Combo, and Bespoke AI Steam

The new Bespoke AI Refrigerators feature a 9-inch ‘AI Home' touchscreen, while the new 4-Door Flex Refrigerator with AI Family Hub+ has a 32-inch Full HD touchscreen display. These screens can be used to control the refrigerator itself and other SmartThings-compatible smart home devices in your home. They can also be used to stream music and videos, check the weather, leave notes, and much more.

The Bespoke AI Combo is a washer and dryer combo that automatically detects the fabric type, soiling level, and weight of the laundry and adjusts the washing program accordingly.

The Bespoke AI Steam is a robotic vacuum cleaner that automatically cleans and mops the floor. It creates a three-dimensional map of your home using its LiDAR sensor. After mopping the floor, it washes the mops using hot water and blows them dry using hot air.

Knox Matrix for added safety

Samsung is putting security first with its new connected appliances. The Knox Matrix feature, which is based on blockchain-based security, creates a chain of all the SmartThings-connected compatible smart home devices to further improve the security of the whole system.

Connected devices check each other's security status. If any device is compromised, that device is disconnected from the system, and the user is notified so that they can take appropriate action.

Starting February 2025, users can use the dashboard feature to check the security status of each device in their home. Those devices include home appliances, mobile phones, tablets, and TVs. Samsung claims that its new appliances have received a ‘Diamond' rating by UL Solutions in IoT security.

SmartThings for a safe and convenient home

Samsung's ‘Calm Onboarding‘ feature automatically connects newly purchased SmartThings-compatible home appliances to your existing SmartThings network.

The Quick Remote feature pops up a mini virtual remote controller UI on your phone's screen whenever you are close to a SmartThings-compatible home appliance or device.

Using the ‘3D Map View‘ feature, you can quickly check the location and status of a SmartThings-compatible smart home device at a glance.

The SmartThing Energy feature uses optimal settings based on your usage patterns to save electricity. You can compare the electricity consumption of the current month to the previous month and check how much money you have saved.

The SmartThings Pet Care feature can automatically recognize your pet's breed. It then uses AI to create a 3D Pet image that you can set as a profile picture.

SmartThings Pro and SmartThings Find for business, vehicles, and more

Samsung has expanded SmartThings from just homes to businesses, ships, and vehicles. Apartments, businesses, offices, and retail stores can use SmartThings Pro for greater control over their lights, security, and other appliances and devices.

During business hours, SmartThings Pro automatically adjusts lighting and cooling/heating for optimal settings and lower electricity bills. For offices, it can handle facial recognition for entry and exit.

It helps in automation through Modes & Routines. For example, lights can be turned on in the evening and turned off in the morning. People can adjust lighting and cooling when they are living in a hotel room.

It is also possible to use the SmartThings app on your car's infotainment screen to control and monitor compatible smart home devices in your home.

Samsung Health integration with home appliances

The SmartThings Ambient Sensing feature, which uses Spatial AI, learns your appliance usage and moving habits. Based on that information and the data from your Galaxy Watch (Samsung Health), it offers recommendations such as working out and sleeping.
