Samsung Keyboard is getting a rather hefty update to version 5.4.70.25. It weighs a little over 80MB and brings a handful of changes to four main categories.
That is according to the official changelog Samsung communicates via the Galaxy Store. Which isn't always accurate or up to date, unfortunately. But that's a matter for another time, so, back to Samsung Keyboard version 5.4.70.25, as per the official changelog. What can we expect from this new update? Quite a bit, actually.
Fewer typos, better Clipboard, and more
To begin with, the Suggest Text Correction feature, which Samsung introduced with One UI 4.0, is “smarter.” It can now be enabled or disabled per app.
Next up, Samsung has made the UI more consistent across different countries. More details in the screenshot below, but know that you can revert to the previous layout by accessing the “Key and Special Character Layout” in Samsung Keyboard settings.
Thirdly, using customer feedback, Samsung improved its keyboard to have a lower typo rate when users type in specific keys.
And finally, this new Samsung Keyboard update brings a bunch of bug fixes and other improvements to the Clipboard feature. Pinned items have improved behavior, and a bug that was causing Samsung Notes to crash when using the paste feature has been addressed.
Clipboard text should now render correctly when using Dark Mode, and there are even more fixes that should be coming with version 5.4.70.25. Check the changelog screenshot below.
