If history is any indication, Samsung is going to unveil the Galaxy S11 in February next year. The Galaxy S10 was also unveiled in February so you get the idea. Next year's event is likely going to be extra special because of the new Galaxy Fold.
Reports suggest that the clamshell Galaxy Fold we've been hearing about will be unveiled alongside the Galaxy S11. A tipster has now hinted when both of these devices may finally be made official.
February 18, 2020 tipped as the launch date for these devices
@UniverseIce claims, based on rumors, that Samsung has tentatively scheduled the launch of the Galaxy S11 and the new Galaxy Fold on February 18, 2020. Both devices would be unveiled at an event in San Francisco, California. Some of you may recall that the Galaxy S10 was launched on February 20, 2019 and the event was also conducted in San Francisco.
Even if the date isn't accurate, it's highly likely that we'll see the Galaxy S11 in the third week of February. Samsung will unveil the device at a separate event before it puts the Galaxy S11 on display at the Mobile World Congress 2020 in Barcelona. MWC kicks off on February 24, 2020. The new Galaxy Buds+ with active noise cancellation are also expected to debut with the new phones at the February event.
Going by everything we know about the Galaxy S11 so far, it's going to be a camera powerhouse, and that's something we have long advocated for. The clamshell Galaxy Fold has a lot more interest. It will be the first foldable smartphone in this form factor to hit the market. Reports suggest that it may also cost less than $900 which would do wonders for the Galaxy Fold series as the cost of entry would be lowered considerably.
Whatever the case may be, February is shaping up to be an exciting month for Samsung fans.
