Samsung unveiled its new 8K QLED TV lineup at CES 2020 earlier this year. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and related lockdowns, the company couldn't launch them in time. After launching new 8K TVs in South Korea, the Netherlands, and the US, the South Korean electronics giant has finally launched them in Australia. You can buy these TVs from Samsung's website, Samsung stores, and retailers across the country.

New 8K QLED TVs from Samsung's 2020 lineup is now available in Australia. The company's entry-level 8K QLED TV model (65-inch Q800T) costs AUD 6,199, and the most premium TV (85-inch Q950T) goes up to AUD 21,999. The Q800T model comes in three sizes: 65-inch, 75-inch, and 82-inch. The more premium, Q950T TV series is available in three sizes—65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch—as well. While TVs in both Q800T and Q950T series mostly have a similar design, only the latter features a completely bezel-less design.

Samsung's new 8K QLED TVs feature 8K AI upscaling through the Quantum Processor 8K chipset, HDR10+, HLG, more local backlight dimming zones, wide viewing angles, and adaptive brightness. They also come with built-in 4.2.2-channel speakers with 70W output, Object Tracking Sound+, Q-Symphony, and Bluetooth 4.2 audio. Other features include AMD FreeSync, Ambient Mode+, One Remote Control, No Gap wall mount, One Invisible Connection, AirPlay 2, Alexa, Bixby, Google Assistant, HomeKit, Multi View, and SmartThings.

Hass Mahdi, Director of AV at Samsung in Australia, said, “Our latest QLED 8K range is designed with an Infinity Screen, which provides a fresh, new take on a TV form factor that is sure to impress those seeking the very best that Samsung has to offer. The Q950T QLED 8K is the marquee television in Samsung's 2020 range and is the ultimate in our big-screen innovation and design.
