Samsung has launched a new rugged smartphone, the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro, alongside a new rugged tablet, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, for enterprises and frontline workers. It is a more advanced version of the Galaxy XCover 7 from last year and a successor to the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro from 2022.
Compared to the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro and the Galaxy XCover 7, the Galaxy Cover 7 Pro offers a better display, faster processor, newer software, more advanced rear and front camera setups, faster connectivity options, and a larger battery. Let’s take a look at its specs, price, and availability details.
Galaxy XCover 7 Pro price and availability details
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Cover in only one configuration: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The brand has priced it at €609 ($693), and the company says that it will make the model available to purchase from 8 May 2025. However, Samsung didn't say in which regions it will go on sale on that date.

Galaxy XCover 7 Pro specifications
Rugged build
The Galaxy XCover 7 Pro being a rugged device focused at enterprises and frontline workers, the first thing we need to talk about is its build. Just like previous Galaxy XCover phones, the new model is water and dust resistant and comes with an IP68 rating. It has thick rubberised protection on the edges as well as Corning Gorilla Victus+ protection on the display to withstand accidental drops, and the MIL-STD-810H certification is a testament to that.
Display with Vision Booster and Touch Sensitivity mode
The Galaxy XCover 7 Pro features a 6.6-inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung has equipped it with Vision Booster, which increases brightness under direct sunlight. It also offers a Touch Sensitivity mode, which, as the name suggests, increases the display's touch sensitivity so that it can recognise touch even when people use it with gloves, a very helpful feature for those using it in harsh environments and fieldwork.

Samsung offers it with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It runs on Android 15-based One UI 7.0 and packs many AI-powered features, including Google’s Circle to Search, Object Eraser, AI Select, and Read Aloud.
Larger battery and a wide range of future-proof connectivity options
The Galaxy XCover 7 Pro has two cameras at the rear: a 50MP primary unit with a wide lens and an 8MP secondary unit with an ultra-wide lens. At the front, there is a 13MP camera. It packs a 4,350 mAh battery, which is user-replaceable. You can charge it using the USB Type-C 3.2 port or POGO pins. Connectivity options include one physical SIM + one e-SIM, 5G with sub-6GHz support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS.

The phone has two speakers in a stereo configuration with Dolby Atmos support. As for security and privacy, you get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face recognition, Samsung Knox with Samsung Knox Vault, and eSE. The phone has two customisable buttons, a Top Key and a Cover Key. People can use it to do a number of things, such as bringing up specific barcode scanning apps, which is a very helpful feature for frontline workers, including delivery personnel.
