The start of every new month brings us a detailed overview of Samsung's latest monthly update. We're merely five days into this month and Samsung has gone ahead and made available the details of its March 2024 security patch.
As we've come to expect, the company usually starts sending out the new patch well before the details go up on the security bulletin. That's also happened in this case, it was included in the second Galaxy S24 firmware update, so some of you may already be rocking the March 2024 security patch.

Like every security maintenance release, the newest patch includes fixes from both Google and Samsung, for Android and One UI respectively. Samsung has fixed 9 vulnerabilities and exposures in its software through this release.
The company has detailed several of the moderate risk vulnerabilities it has fixed, such as a stack overflow issue in the bootloader that enabled privileged attackers to run arbitrary code. Some security items of a more serious nature haven't been publicly disclosed, but they have been fixed.
Google has also detailed all of the fixes it has made in Android through the March 2024 security maintenance release on its website. You can see further details about the fixes Samsung has made on its official security bulletin.
It's only a matter of time now before we see this latest security patch being rapidly released for users across the globe. We'll likely see some of the more recent flagship phones receive the update first before it trickles down to the rest of the lineup. Samsung's got quite good at sending out updates quickly, so the patch should be applied to its entire lineup within a couple of weeks.
