Memory chip shortages and rising prices have made it more difficult for everyone to buy physical storage. SSDs are much more expensive now because of the current market conditions, and buying cheap is also a much riskier investment. Buy cheap, buy twice, goes the proverb.
Samsung thinks you should do the opposite and, instead of looking for the cheapest storage solution, choose your SSD based on dependability. The company has launched a new SSD brand campaign across major global landmarks called “Choose the sure thing.“
The campaign consists of large adverts at key locations across major markets, including:
Samsung shared a short video featuring its latest OOH (out-of-home) adverts around the world. Check it out below.
Through its new campaign, Samsung is spreading a simple message: When you've got everything to lose, choose the sure thing.
Samsung implies that the data you store on your SSDs is likely more valuable than the hardware itself. Samsung doesn't outright advise you against buying cheap SSDs, but the message heavily implies that you shouldn't risk your data to a storage solution that might fail you.
Samsung remains the SSD industry's leader for several reasons. One is that the company combines powerful memory solutions with its robust Samsung Magician Software.
The latter is actually useful rather than bloatware, and it is recognized across the industry for its capabilities and toolset. Samsung Magician Software offers firmware updates, health and temperature monitoring, data migration tools, and more.
