Aside from announcing the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 at Unpacked in Korea, Samsung unveiled a new range of protective cases for the two foldable devices. Here's all you need to know.

Samsung developed four new cases for each of its two new foldable phones. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 can be paired with a Clear Gadget Case ($49.99), a Flap Eco-Leather Case ($89.99), a Flipsuit Case ($59.99), and an easy-to-carry Silicone Case with Ring ($39.99). You can buy these cases from Samsung.com.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 also gets a Clear Gadget Case ($54.99), along with an Eco-Leather Case ($79.99), a Standing Case with Strap ($84.99), and a Slim S Pen Case ($99.99). These cases are also available from the company's online store.

Introducing the Clear Gadget Case for the latest foldable phones

The Clear Gadget Case is an interesting concept that Samsung introduced with the Galaxy S23 series earlier this year. It has a mechanism that permits the attachment of accessories, such as camera stands with clicker buttons and credit card holders.

Samsung hasn't said much about the accessories that will be available for the new Clear Gadget Case, but more details should emerge soon. In theory, possibilities are almost limitless, but only time will tell how Samsung will capitalize on this new concept and how many accessories it will develop for the Gadget Case.

Also interesting is that the Flipsuit Case for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has a changeable NFC card. These cards have different designs, ranging from brands like Pringles to anime characters, and are visible through the transparent back cover. They transmit data via NFC and enable matching designs on the Flex Window — which is a fancy name for the large cover screen — transforming the look of the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

As for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 range of cases, the Slim S Pen Case is an interesting upgrade. Although the foldable phone itself hasn't gained a dedicated S Pen slot this year, the new Slim S Pen Case is thinner and should make life easier for S Pen fans who plan on using the stylus on the large foldable display.
