Samsung opened its third Experience Store in the Netherlands this week. The store is located in Westfield Mall in the town of Leidschendam, and like all of the other experience stores the Korean giant has opened in the Netherlands and around the world, this one is designed to provide consumers with a hands-on experience before they purchase a product and show them the benefits of life in Samsung Galaxy ecosystem.
We were able to visit the Westfield Mall Experience Store in its opening hours, and the very first thing that impressed us was Samsung's The Wall microLED screen hung right over the entrance. While nowhere near as big as the 600-inch The Wall TV in Korea, it is Samsung's biggest microLED screen in all of Europe and is an excellent way of welcoming customers.
Inside the store, perhaps the most interesting thing is the SmartThings room, which is designed to showcase how Samsung's mobile devices and home appliances can be connected and controlled through the SmartThings app. Samsung will also be offering tips on how users can make their household more energy-efficient, which has been a big part of the SmartThings marketing push in recent months.
As expected, visitors can check out products such as the company's latest phones, tablets, smartwatches, earbuds, laptops, and various accessories at the store and talk to specialists if they have questions about any device. Oddly, while the entrance is marked by a huge microLED TV, Samsung didn't have any TVs to show off inside the store, suggesting the focus here is more on the mobile side of things, at least for now.
The Westfield Mall Experience Store, which will be open from 11 AM to 8 PM from Monday to Saturday and 12 PM to 8 PM on Sunday, also has a section where existing customers can get their devices serviced and repaired; Samsung will attempt to provide repairs in under two hours both with and without appointments.
