Samsung consistently improves One UI and its stock apps and services through updates. With the Galaxy S22 series, the company had introduced a way to quickly add notes through the Samsung Notes app. Now, that feature has been released to older smartphones.

The South Korean firm has released an update to the Samsung Notes app. It brings a new quick setting toggle called Create Note. Once you activate it from the Edit Panel menu and click on it, a new note is created in Samsung Notes.

You can jot down notes, create to-do lists, stylize text, scan documents, attach images or PDF files, or record voice. You can even add an audio file or capture an image using the camera app through this shortcut. There's also a shortcut to share the created note with other people or services.

You can see how the feature works via screenshots embedded below. The feature appears to be working on all Samsung Notes-compatible phones running Android 12-based One UI 4.
