Samsung was the first Android OEM to release the October 2021 security update. The new security patch started rolling out last week, and the Galaxy S21 series was the first to get the update. Over the past few days, the latest update has been released to multiple smartphones and tablets. Now, the South Korean firm has detailed the October 2021 security patch.
The company has revealed that the October 2021 security update fixes 68 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. Apart from all the patches provided by Google, the Security Maintenance Release also includes 32 SVEs (Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures). It includes bug fixes for six critical vulnerabilities and 24 high-severity vulnerabilities.
The October 2021 security patch has already been released to the Galaxy A8 (2018), Galaxy A50, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy S20 FE 5G, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy Tab Active 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 2, and the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
