Samsung had unveiled its new Odyssey gaming monitor lineup at CES 2020 earlier this year. The Odyssey G7 was launched in South Korea earlier this month. Now, the company has revealed the pricing of the 49-inch Odyssey G9 gaming monitor for its home market.

The Odyssey G9 is now listed on Samsung's website for South Korea, along with its pricing. The curved gaming monitor is priced at KRW 1,960,000 (around $1,610), and it comes with JBL's Quantum Duo stereo speakers during the pre-order phase. The monitor's pricing in the South Korean market is similar to its price in the US.

Samsung's new gaming monitor has a 49-inch curved screen with an ultrawide aspect ratio (32:9) and dual-QHD resolution (5,120 x 1,440 pixels). It has a QLED display panel with DisplayHDR 1000 (1,000 nits brightness), 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, 2500:1 contrast ratio, and a 1000R curvature. It also features AMD FreeSync 2 and Nvidia G-Sync for tear-free gaming.

At the rear, the Odyssey G9 has an Infinity Core Lighting area, which can be customized to display any color. The monitor's stand has height, swivel, and tilt adjustments as well. In terms of I/O, the gaming monitor features one HDMI port, two DisplayPort inputs, a 2-port USB 3.0 hub, and a 3.5mm audio output jack.

Other features of the new gaming monitor include a picture-in-picture mode, Eye Saver mode, Virtual Aim Point, and Black Equalizer. The company had announced its partnership with the T1 e-sports team last month for marketing the Odyssey gaming monitor lineup.
