Samsung has announced that the Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor will be available in major global markets, including South Korea and the US, soon. The flagship gaming monitor was unveiled earlier this year at CES 2023. It will be launched soon in various countries.
In the US, the Odyssey OLED G9 is available for pre-order today. Its pricing hasn't been announced, but it is available for reservation today. You can get a $50 instant discount and a $250 gift card when you buy it after reserving through Samsung's website. It could be priced at around $2,500 in the US.
In South Korea, the Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SC) is priced at KRW 2.7 million (around $2,095) for the variant with Smart Hub and Samsung Gaming Hub services built in. The variant without SmartHub and other smart features, the G93SC, is priced at KRW 2.2 million (around $1,707). The G95SC will be available starting July 3, while the G93SC will be available later next month.
Odyssey Neo G9 features
The Odyssey OLED G9 is a 49-inch QD-OLED monitor with a curved panel (1800R curvature), a Dual QHD resolution (5,120 x 1,440 pixels), and a 32:9 ultrawide aspect ratio. It has a 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and the Neo Quantum Processor Pro chip. It has HDR10+, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Nvidia G-Sync Compatible, VESA's DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, and a typical brightness of around 400 nits.
It features an HDMI 2.1 port, a Micro HDMI 2.1 port, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, a USB 3.0 hub, a height-adjustable stand, and support for VESA mount. It runs Tizen and features all the audio and video streaming apps. It also features Samsung Gaming Hub, which offers all cloud game streaming services from Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Utomik.
It has RGB lighting on the rear. It also features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth, AirPlay, Bixby, Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Health, SmartThings, Alexa, and other smart features.
