After making users of Galaxy devices launched before 2023 wait for an almost agonizingly long time for news on One UI 6.1, Samsung is finally rolling out the update to some of those users.
Samsung had confirmed a few weeks back that starting in May, One UI 6.1 would come to flagship Galaxy phones and tablets that launched in 2022, and the company is staying true to its word: The One UI 6.1 update is now rolling out to the Galaxy S22 series!
Korea is the first market to receive One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. We are working on getting the full changelog, but as expected, the update brings many of the Galaxy AI features from the Galaxy S24.
It shouldn't take long for the update to go live in other markets. Once it's available in your country, you will be able to download it from your phone's Settings » Software update menu. This is a massive update that is around 3GB in size, so a Wi-Fi connection is recommended for the download.
